2. What kind of retirement community is best?
Northstar Senior Living offers a range of options from Senior Living communities with Independent, Assisted and Memory Care to freestanding Alzheimer's and Assisted Living. Northstar Senior Living has a full continuum of care that also includes Respite and Hospice Care.
3. What is the right care option for my loved one?
Sometimes just starting off at your family physician is a good option. They will then direct you to an option best suited for your individual needs. Assisted Living communities will also do personalized assessments to determine your care needs.
4. How do I know when it is time to move to Assisted Living?
There are several factors to consider. Are there medication mix-ups, or frequent falls or poor nutritional habits or just experiencing short term memory loss? If you answered yes to any of these please contact Northstar Senior Living. Remember, our assessments are free of charge.
5. Can I bring my own furniture?
By all means, please do! We want you to feel at home. Decorating your own apartment will make you more comfortable.
6. Can I bring my pet?
Yes. We encourage you to bring this important member of your family when you move to Northstar Senior Living. Call the community of your choice to ask specific questions regarding this matter.
7. Does Northstar Senior Living allow smoking?
We care greatly for the health of each resident, so we have designated all of our communities smoke-free. Some of our communities have dedicated areas where residents and guests are free to smoke.
8. What should I look for on my tour of a Northstar Senior Living community?
