Testimonials from our Residents and their Families

"First of all, I want to commend you on the care with which you have directed this facility, as well as the vigilant care and regard you have shown toward my mother, Ann M. It means a great deal to me, and to her. I feel right at home with your approach. I was very impressed with your obvious continued efforts to increase the quality of life for all the residents. Thank you so much. It's such a pleasure to see such attention to detail, and spiritual uplift for everyone. This is so important, and I praise you in knowing its importance. You are a leader of integrity. Thank You." Robert Z.

"When she first moved from her home of over fifty years in San Francisco, we were concerned about her making the transition. Everyone at Oakdale Heights helped to make her feel comfortable about having a new home here. Thank you all for allowing our family to enjoy having our mother live near us, while she was still bale to have a place of her own. Your kindness, care, and support made that possible. She spoke highly of all of you and appreciated your thoughtfulness very much. Thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts for providing such a wonderful community that she got to be a part of these past years. It meant a lot to all of us to know that she was content and well taken care of. May God bless all of you." My Best Wishes Always, Domenic G.

"I can only say Thank You a million times for all you have done to see that Estelle was happy and loved. What makes Oakdale Heights so much better than the others is all of you! You are all taking care of people who need you; not just doing a job. So many of you have touched Estelle's life and mine. I have made friendships I will always keep. Do not ever doubt that you are making a difference in this world. This world would be a better place if more people like all of you. What you do every day is hard work and I know that you helped Estelle enjoy the best year of her life living there. She told me that she felt safe and secure-something she had never had before in her life. God Bless All of You!" Lisa W.

"I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how happy I am living in your community. The first day I came here, I fell in love with the place and the staff I met was so exceptional in their hospitality. I've been here a couple months now, and it just keeps getting better. I am more content living her than I can remember being. I've had a bit of a rough life and am now disabled, but I feel like I am finally home. My apartment feels like a home and I hope I never leave." Thanks, Ashley T.

"For over a year I have lived her and I have been treated with the utmost courtesy and kindness by all the staff. I feel sure that on occasion they have gone beyond the call of duty to see to my needs. I have spent most of my life in Borneo as a missionary. How very nice it is to come home to a place like this. I am grateful, not only for the girls who care for our rooms and our personal needs, but for those who serve our meals. No wonder Oakdale Heights is receiving the Best of the Best Award." Robert W.

"Let me express the gratitude our family feels for the outstanding care given to my sister, Harriet M.. You and every member of the staff at Seasons at Modesto have earned our appreciation and admiration. Harriet moved form a small assisted-living facility in Carmel. Within a short time, the improvement in her accommodations, food, grooming and hygiene were reflected in her appearance, demeanor and general health. The numerous programs offered by Seasons at Modesto and the everyday unstructured activities provide both enjoyment and benefits for her health. I am especially grateful that many of the staff seems to consider their role as ministry, rather than simply a job. What a blessing this is for the residents and their loved ones. Our family always will be grateful for the professional care and loving environment Harriet enjoyed at Seasons. We believe that she could not have been in a better situation, given the nature of Alzheimer' Disease." Bob M.

"I personally felt the Executive Director's love for the residents, as she called each of them by name and gave some of them a big hug. She said "I love my job". It was real. I used Oakdale Heights as a benchmark when we visited other assisted living facilities. At each facility visited, my sister, Louise, and I would stop and compare it with your facility. There were some with better layouts. But they did not have the warmth-love and caring atmosphere. At the end of our visits and interviews, we knew that we were going to transfer our sister to Oakdale Heights. During our sister's entire stay at Oakdale Heights, everyone gave her the very best care. Your staff and workers in every department are very easy to talk with and helpful. Our sister loved to be waited on. She really got top-notch treatment down to emptying her trashcans when she called. We cannot say enough about how pleased we were about all of your services. Because of the great passion for what you do, you seem to assist each and every member of your community with love, compassion and respect. You will always be our first choice for assisted living." Louis K.

"Just a brief note to say how happy I am to be a resident here. I find the service and the staff all EXCELLENT. The food is superb, the accommodations (my room) EXCELLENT. I thank you and other members of the staff for all the services which you have extended to me as a new resident. I was in the hotel business for 50 years now and have been retired for the past 10 years. I know good service, food and accommodations. Keep up the good work! Continued best wishes for you and your entire organization." Ted - Room 116

"Mom had gotten to the point where she didn't want to leave the house to have her hair or nails fixed or to see the doctor and she spent most of her days sleeping. We expected for her to move into Oakdale Heights and do the same, but Oakdale Heights truly helped her come alive again and thrive. Mom was able to have her hair and nails fixed weekly without having to leave her residence, assistance with doctors visits and medications, her health conditions monitored by competent staff, wonderful entertainment, daily activities, "field trips on the bus", family dinners hosted by Oakdale Heights for the holidays, meals of her choice served to her, and all of her needs met by patient staff members. We were especially grateful for the opportunity to once again be her children and let Oakdale Heights be her caregivers and extended family. Thank You for loving mom. It was amazing to us that the staff always called mom by her name and also knew each of our names. This is one example of the high level of professionalism and dedication to each resident. I have recommended Oakdale Heights and the staff many times to others in a similar situation. We will forever be grateful to each of you and the "assistance in living" you gave mom the last years of her life." Rose K.
